Blessed is the understatement of my life right now.
The last major aftershock happened at 2ish this morning. It was massive. But we are still here.
Worked at a clinic the night of the quake and the day after. Can't tell you what I saw or how many people I sutured up.
Please continue praying for those still trapped, those suffering with wounds (physically, emotionally, spiritually) and those who lost loved ones. Also pray for supplies and those trying help.
We can feel your prayers and are very thankful for them. If you want to donate somehow or help in some way, please go to worldwidevillage.org or heartlineministries.org or the red cross. We need diesel, water, food and medicine (like Lidocaine, Tylenol, NSAIDS, etc) and medical supplies (gauze, tape, hydrogen peroxide, betadine, suturing equipment/tools).

Vivien you are wise beyond your years. I know that God is going to see you through this. Like Mandy said there are prayers going up for you and all those you come in contact. Vivien, I am so so so so so glad that you are ok. There are lots of people here in El Paso praying for you and everyone else there in Haiti. The PLFSOM Class of 2013 is working on putting together a collection to help with the recovery efforts. If we have supplies, is there a place we can send those, or are we better off collecting money and donating that to one of the organizations you mention or any other providing aid? Just shoot me an email if you get a chance. It'll be a few days before we get everything organized anyway. Keep your chin up, I can just see you bringing the love of Christ to all the people who need you. Now, I truly see why God chose to put you in Haiti this year. So many people you get to help in His name.
Your courage and faith amaze me...you and others who are in Haiti, choosing to stay and help, are truly Warriors of God. I want to help too, but don't know what to do except send money and that is scarce right now.
